About us

Gaël Chételat’s team “Multimodal neuroimaging and Lifestyle in Aging and Alzheimer’s disease” is working with complementary neuroimaging tools and neuropsychological assessments to improve understanding of Alzheimer’s disease physiopathological mechanisms and of determinants of mental health and well-being in the ageing population.

The team uses structural and functional MRI (T1, FLAIR, T2, resting-state fMRI, task-related fMRI, DKI, ASL, high-resolution hippocampal T2, etc.) in people ranging from cognitively normal young to elderly people to patients at various stages of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.

The team is also coordinating and European programme including non-pharmacological interventions through mental training (meditation and English learning) in ageing (www.silversantestudy.eu).
